So I've decided that I need to go to Chicago ASAP because this museum has a lot of awesome photography exhibits. These are some surreal Czech photographs that were in this exhibit.

Václav Chochola, Lamp, 1947

Emila Medková, Hand with Watch, 1949

Here's a few more examples from the exhibit and an article to read.

Van Gogh

--ashlee ferraina

I've been in a "Van Gogh" mood lately for some reason. I just ordered the book Dear Theo by Irving Stone. Amazon.com can be your best friend when you don't own a car. As well as a worst enemy to your bank account.
I wanted to add some visuals...so here are some Van Gogh works I like today.

"Bad Boys of Art"

--Ashlee Ferraina

I some how came across an article titled "Swagger and Sideburns: Bad Boys in Galleries" on the New York Times website. Among other artists they named Damien Hurst a "bad boy". It's an interesting article published about a year ago.

I'm not big on keeping up with and reading the news, so this is a site I like to visit that gives the news in photo format. The article I sent is on the Australian flooding.
