Crane Arts ! !!

Not sure how many of you all are Philadelphians or may end up there, but regardless, you should check our the Crane Building in North Philly. Besides being a really great old building, it is home to an unbelievable community of all things art. From galleries and private studios to a sweet printshop (BIG ART DAY!'s Zach Lindenberger runs Second State Press. which is located in the basement of the Crane), there's a lot to check out. /// CRANE ARTS

It's also home to the Philadelphia Photo Arts Center, which is a great resource for workshops, visiting artist lectures, exhibitions, and competitions to enter. And even better, it's nonprofit. >>> You would be CRAZY not to check it out here.

Be sure to read the info on the open call for their 2nd Annual Contemporary Photography Competition & Exhibition. The juror is Peter Barberie, who happens to be the curator of photography at the Philadelphia Museum of Art -- not a bad guy to have look at your work. DO IT!

Over and out.
